Level I athletes will be coached by NRG Head Coach Nigel Gray

The Level I program includes the following:

  • GOAL SETTING: Work out achievable short and long terms goals in order to keep you focused and motivated while allowing us to set out an appropriate training plan.
  • TRAINING SCHEDULE: Workouts are provided in 1-3 week blocks with a detailed description of the workout, including duration, intensity (heart rate and power zones) and purpose.
  • PACE AND POWER ZONES:  Field testing in the swim/bike/run to help determine training and racing zones and monitor your progression
  • COMMUNICATION: You will have unlimited telephone (8 am-8pm EST time, athlete initiated) and email communication with your coach as well as unlimited revision of your training program.
  • ONLINE TRAINING DIARY: You will have access to the NRG online training diary where your workouts will be posted on your own web page and you will be able to enter the details of your workout for analysis by your coach. You will be able to post your heart rate data from your downloadable hr monitor as well as power data from a Power Tap power meter to allow tracking of your training and racing performances.
  • RACE PLAN & ANALYSIS: A pre-race discussion detailling racing strategy, including goals, pacing, nutrition and mental focus and a post race analysis of how your race went including an analysis of any heart rate and power data.
  • REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: A  power meter and GPS watch are preferred
  • PRODUCT DISCOUNTS: NRG athletes have access to discounts on a wide range of recommended products from Enduro Sport


  • $395CDN/month + HST for a minimum 8 month commitment
  • $475CDN/month + HST for a less than 8 month commitment
