Jan, Feb, Mar Racing Update
My apologies for taking so long to get this up but we wanted to update how some of the NRG PT Team have been racing so far this year. We have had lots of great races, from 5kms to Ironman’s and all over the world! Please let me know as well if I have missed anyones race
January
Shannon Morrison ran the Hair of the Dog 9km
Terri Carter ran the Disney Marathon
James Lambert run 1:33 in the Hong Kong Half Marathon
February
Ruth Bidell 10km snow shoe race
Graham Hallward did the Death Valley 200mile Road Race
Grimsby Half Marathon – John Lapello
Jason Greenlees ran the very snowy Peterborough Half Marathon
Wolf Guembel was 3rd in the Florida Great Escape Tri in Clermont
March
We had a big contingent race the Chilly Half – Caryl Abe, Sarah Burke, Jackie Dupuis, Andrea Perego, Faygie Good man, Cheryl Donnelly, France Dorion (PB), Allan Wiggins, Denise Ross, Rob Dal Bianco, Jane Wood (first half)
Rob Wright headed to New Zealand to race Ironman New Zealand, hanging tough to have a solid race despite being sick
Crystal Drummond was 1st in the 50 and 200 breast and 2nd (with a PB) in the 400IM and Swim Provincials
Singapore 70.3, we had 3 athletes racing in Singapore, with Joey – Lynn Musselman winning her age group and Frank Marriott and Ashley Dyer both coming across tacks on the road but still getting to the finish line
It was a wet and cool Around the Bay this year but we had a good contingent – Denise Ross (PB), Rob Dal Bianco, Faygie Goodman, Paul Monckza, Colleen Pollack (relay), Carrie Houghton (relay), Dave Martens, Shannon Kemp (PB), Anja Hooton
New Orleans 70.3, Coach Wolf Guembel was 11th in the Pro race
Tom MacDonald was 3rd overall in the Novartis 5km in Phoenix Arizona
On the Sunshine coast in Australia Bruce Lister set a PB in the Mooloolaba triathlon
We have had lots more races in April, including Ironman China and the Boston Marathon and will post the results soon
